Juliet, Naked
by Nick Hornby
I read a review of Juliet, Naked that said something about this being true Hornby: about music and awkward love, utterly wonderful. It is so effortless and beautiful and entertaining and interesting. The music is so pervasive – it’s hard to believe that it, too, is fictional. The characters are so boldly real; I’m always impressed when a male author gets a female character so right. Juliet, Naked was just what I needed.
