Magical Moments: Christina on Wedded Bliss

I guess you always hope for magical moments! My favorite was the planned (by Ed and I) but unexpected moment (for the guests) when they all followed us in a procession from our wedding church in Charlestown to the reception along the Boston Harbor. Along the way, we got led and serenaded by a Dixieland jazz band out in front of us (like the pied piper), got greeted by the local firemen at the firehouse down the street and enjoyed residents hanging from the windows of the brownstones waving and sending greetings literally via blown kisses. Uniquely un-Bostonian.

The funny thing was that I cared so much about the flowers, the cake, the menu before the day…but the best part of the actual wedding moment was a simple, 10-minute stroll through my community. In a long white dress. With flowers in my hand. And everyone I love following behind me – and holding my hand.

Great memories!
