Act II

The universe is a funny place.  It’s completely uncertain and impossible to figure out, and yet, in retrospect, it’s so utterly predictable.

After months of hand-wringing, I make peace with the interlude.

Interlude ends.

Yes, that’s right.  At long last, Ari has been named the New Media Editor at Down East Enterprises.  He starts Monday (!) and we’ll spend Christmas vacation moving to Camden.  Crazy.

I’ve been anticipating this for months.  I’ve chosen a school for the kids, created a watch-list on the real estate site, and imagined daily life in a new community.  I’ve cried about leaving Portland, and vowed to visit often.  I am beyond excited about this move and this job and this change.

My head is spinning, mostly in a good way.

Life is funny, isn’t it? You needed to make peace with the waiting, before the waiting could end.
